NEW DATE: CELEBRATE SPRING WORKSHOP

2014 SPRING WORKSHOP AND POTLUCK LUNCH PARTY!

When and where is the party?

SATURDAY, MAY 3rd

10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. upstairs in the studio

 Who is invited?

If you are a regular or occasional studio participant, of if you have taken a class with us in the past, you are invited to attend!

Can I bring a friend?

If you have a friend who is interested in learning more about fused glass and you can help them with their project, please bring them along. The more the merrier!

What are we going to make?

We are going to try something new! Each person will make a number of 2×2 squares with a design element on the top. The spring-inspired design can be constructed out of glass, painted, made with an inclusion-let your imagination go wild. Each participant will receive a10x10 base (COE 90) and access to COE 90 glass and dichro for the design elements. You are welcome to bring your own glass as well, if you are very sure that it is COE 90. Each participant will receive a square from each of the other participants, so in the end, you will have a glass memory ‘quilted’ plate. We will fire the completed plates and slump them as part of the workshop fee.

 How much does it cost?

The regular workshop fee of $17.00  + $5.00 for materials ($22.00) will be charged for the party. Please sign the registration sheet for the workshop so that we have an idea of how many people to expect. You do not have to stay for the entire workshop to participate.

 What’s for lunch?

Bring a small appetizer, salad, main dish, or dessert. We will provide coffee, tea and fruit, but you can also bring a non-alcoholic beverage of your choice for the potluck lunch. We will plan to eat between noon and 1:00 p.m.

I want to participate, but I can’t attend on the 19th

If you are busy on the 19th, but would still like to participate in the exchange, please drop off your completed squares to Susan before the workshop. The completed ‘quilts’ will be available for pickup during scheduled workshop hours on Wednesday, April 23rd.
